Some exact solutions of the (2 + 1)-dimensional modified Nizhnik-Novikov-Vesselov equation are obtained with the help of variable separation approach and bilinear method. These exact solutions describe the interactions of different types of soliton. They are the interaction between two dromions, between a line soliton and a y-periodic soliton and between two plateau type solitons. Detail behaviors of these interactions are illustrated both in analytically and in graphically.
