Ion waves in a weakly ionized plasma under an electric and magnetic field is discussed on the basis of the two-fluid model. The Hall current is shown to make ion waves unstable with ease in a weakly ionized plasma. The unstable region and the growth rate are obtained for various ratios of the electron drift velocity to the electron thermal velocity.
