The number of nonequivalent directions of the z-axes of the field gradient in the crystal for every symmetry class is calculated. It is shown that we may discuss about the symmetry of the crystal and may determine the orientations of nonequivalent directions with respect to the axes of symmetry through the Zeeman analysis of nuclear quadrupole resonance line.
