In this paper, I discussed on the methodology how we explain the teachers' role performance in our social context. Firstly, I reviewed the sociological works on teachers already done before, and conducted a conclusion that we have already consensus on the focus of the study in this field that it should be on the educational behaviour of common-man teachers. Secondly, I proposed three patterns of teachers' educational behaviour on the socio-historical perspective, that is, a) "personal leader" or "charismatic" model of teacher, b) "institutional leader, or bureaucratic" model of teacher, and c) "performance" model of teacher. Thirdly, relating the performance model with the sociological collaborations about role theory, and applicating to the social and institutional situations of modern schooling, I examined the possibility or usefulness of the new model. Lastly, from the viewpoint of this performance model, I considered on the freedom of teachers' educational behaviours, its basis or unique raison d'etre, and education as pupils' own works.
