The dimensional argument by Taketani, Nakamura and Sasaki on the elememtarity and the compositeness of particles is extended and applied to the strongly interacting particles. The internal structure of a meson, being composed of a baryon and an antibaryon, is found to play an essential role in extremely high energy interactions in cosmic ray energy region. A possible effect is looked for in accelerator energy region. It is suggested that the internal structure of a meson becomes effective as soon as the Lorentz factor of incoming particle is larger than (⏧_π)/(⏧_B), ⏧_π and ⏧_B being the Compton wave length of a pion and a baryon. Considerations are extended on the structure of a baryon and its effect on the particle interactions.
