Two experiments were carried out concerning excitons in KI. Luminescences from localized I^- ions in KBr / KI mixed crystals were measured(Part I). They suffer from Stokes shift and are observed even in the case of concentration of 8.5×10^<-1> mol of KI in KBr. At the same time, energies of localized excitons around I^- ions are transferred to some impurities in cases of such high concentrations of I^- ions. In Part II, exciton induced luminescences from T1^+ ions in KI / T1I are described. Their yields are almost independent of concentrations of T1^+ ions, which fact suggests the migration of excitons in KI. The induced luminescence shows temperature-dependence. The natures of the exciton are discussed on the basis of these results.
