On the Theory of the Meson Decay

By combining Yukawa's theory of nuclear forces^<(1)> with Fermi's theory of the beta-disintegration^<(2)> a new theory of the meson decay is proposed. The resulting lifetime of the meson is in reasonable accord with cosmic ray observations.
