SYNOPSIS : The present paper refers to a general description in manufacturing Thomas steel and it's byproduct namely "Thomasphosphate manure". The author describes the following matters; 1) Historical developments of converter steel making. 2) By what means phosphor are added to the Thomas pig iron. 3) Why the Thomas pig iron must have a proper content of Phosphor and a low of silicium. 4) What is the metallurgical refining in converter dealing with the formation of Thomas slag. 5) Why the Thomas slag. which will be convented to the phosphate manure, must have a proper content of silica in order to increase solubility of phosphates in a solution of 2% citric acid. And some another influences on a solubility of phosphates in slag. 6) How to grind and treat Thomas slag to make the phosphate manure. 7) What is the Thomasphosphate manure, especially it's chemical and physical properties in compairing with that of Germany and Belgium. Taking consideration of the agricultural precedent in Germany, the author may have privilege of dealing with the necessity for these forthcoming Thomasphosphate manure as a problem, believing that agricultural demands will be supplied with this manure in our country.
