Molecular Dynamics Study of Friction-Like-Phenomena in Sub-Micrometer Size Mechanisms and Actuators Based on Atomistic Simplified One-Dimensional Model

To investigate the law of sliding friction, we employed a simplified one-dimensional model and analyzed it by Molecular Dynamics Methods. On the model, we found two interesting characteristics, (1) the accumulated energy are very large sometimes, and (2) in such cases, the trajectories are something special.
