The behavior of a quantized vortex ring near a wall is further investigated, extending previous work. We show that, because of frictional forces due to quasi-particle collisions, the free vortex rings move slower and their radii are diminished. The influence on rings near a wall is such as to stop them at a closer distance to the wall. We also show that the ring stops in front of a wall in a quite stable way. We also investigate how the rings behave in an a. c. field.
