The weak radiative decays of 1/2^+ baryons are analyzed by considering the decay B→B'+γ as a process S+B→B'+γ and assuming besides CP-invariance, (i) non-exoticity of the intermediate states and (ii)the s-u channel symmetry of the weak Hamiltonian. Decay rates and asymmetry parameters of charmed and uncharmed decays are calculated. We propose measurement of asymmetries for Ξ^-→Σ^-γ and Ξ^0→Σ^0γ in order to elucidate the structure of weak nonleptonic Hamiltonian.
