Frequency Spectrum of Velocity Auto-Correlation Function of Liquid Rubidium

The relaxation kernels appearing in Mori's continued fraction expansion of the velocity auto-correlation function at first two stages have been calculated for liquid rubidium using the mode coupling approximation. The results for the frequency spectrum obtained from the relaxation kernels of the first three stages have been compared with each other and with molecular dynamics data. It is found that only the first stage relxation kernel gives good agreement with molecular dynamics results.
