We consider the pair-annihilation (or -creation) of the quark-antiquark bound system with the aim to shed a further light on what has remained a mistery about it. We moreover make a brief inspection of the radially excited states in this context, and reveal a remarkable regularity between the ground-state mass and the squared effective binding strength. We next consider the dynamical effect of the pair-annihilation from very many levels of the radial excitation, and investigate the so-called Drell ratio R(s) to discuss this scaling behavior fulfilled by that. As the result of our thoughts, we can show an excellent fit of R(s) to experiments from the threshold to the existing energy and can also predict its scaling limit as R=5.73.
