Structural relaxation processes of liquid dibutylphthalate were tracked by a pressurejump method with an isothermal calorimeter, and were characterized by a stretched exponential function with a nonexponentiality parameter β. Nonlinearity of the relaxation function was found to the pressure jump, Δ_jP, as similar to that by a temperature-jump method. This result suggests the activation energy for the rearrangement of molecules depends on pressure as well as temperature.
