Magnetic structures of transition metal thin films with a nearly half-filled d band are investigated by use of the interacting virtual state approach, which is an extension of the Alexander-Anderson-Moriya theory on an exchange interaction between two magnetic impurities. Magnetic moments on each layer are self-consistently calculated within a framework of the Hartree-Fock approximation. Magnetic structures of thin films are discussed as a function of thickness. An effect of adsorption of a transition metal atom of the same kind is also discussed.
