The temperature Green's function for the so-called tunneling model -an Ising spin system in the presence of transverse field- is investigated, with the transverse part taken as the unperturbed state. A new contraction rule corresponding to Wick's formula is established for spin-spin correlation functions. A few higher order terms are evaluated by the use of diagram analysis. Result of a preliminary calculation indicates that the damping constant for the soft mode is rather large.
