Casimir Energy in Quantum Gravity in R^1×T^3 Space-Time : Particles and Fields

The Casimir energy in quantum gravity is calculated in the R^1×T^3 space-time where T^3 is s 3-dimensional torus. It is found that the total Casimir energy is the same as the one derived in QED. The applications of the result to the cosmology are briefly discussed.
