A Dual Transformation of the Nielsen-Olesen Model

The soliton Lagrangian of the Nielsen-Olesen model is approximately given by extending the Bardakci-Samuel method to string-like solitons. It is shown that this model is dual to a dual string model coupled minimally to a massive Kalb-Ramond field.
