Spectral function of ^4He is calculated based on the realistic ground-state wave function within the plane wave approximation for final nucleon system. Effect of nucleon-nucleon correlation is studied and is shown to dominate the spectral function at high removal energies and momenta. An improved spectral function is obtained which almost satisfies the momentum sum rule. It is shown that the four-body breakup channel gives a dominant contribution to the sum rule at high momentum region.
