The effects of the electron-magnon interaction in itinerant ferromagnets are discussed. In the approximation where the energy and momentum of the magnon in the electron-magnon scattering vertices are neglected, the renormalized self-energies for the electrons can be expressed in terms of the self-energies without the vertex corrections. The resulting expressions for the self-energies satisfy the requirement of the rotational invariance in spin space. The renormalization effects are significantly dependent on the cutoff momentum q_c at which the magnon spectrum vanishes. For q_c around the Fermi momentum k_F, considerable renormalization of the spin polarization near the Fermi surface is obtained. The structures of the electron-magnon scattering vertices are briefly considered. It is shown that in the spectra of the vertices there appear delta-function spikes which correspond to the bound state of the electron and the magnon.
