Detailed accounts of the weak interaction with a certain kind of right-handed charged current are given. This current, c^^-_R(-d sinθ+s cosθ)_R, which has been proposed by two of the authors (Y. A. and K. F.) on the basis of the octet enhancement mechanism by Fritzsch and Minkowski, is shown to be promising in order to reproduce the experimental data on the weak nonleptonic and radiative decays of ordinary baryons including Ω^-. It is pointed out that, in case of weak hadronic decays of charmed hadrons, our interaction leads to SU(4)-(45,45*) dominance in parity-violating processes, from which one derives selection and sum rules different from those obtained in case of the SU(4)-20" dominance. An example of possible gauge models with our right-handed current is given, in which the neutral current conserves strangeness naturally.
