We formulate the resonant processes of a particle transferring back and forth between two identical cores in the coupled-channels method, taking into account identical bound states for the base wave functions to be coupled. The eikonal approximation makes the two coupled equations solvable analytically. The non-orthogonality between the base wave functions and the effect of the recoil momentum of the cores are taken into account. The approximation visualizes the resonant transfer processes, with the amplitude of the wave function for the transferring particle being normalized. Our formalism reproduces well some features of the data on the H^+, i.e., the ratio of the electron transfer reaction to the elastic scattering cross section and the electron transfer cross section integrated over the angle in a wide region of the incident energy.
