High energy total cross sections of nucleons and pseudoscalar mesons are analysed under the assumption that 2^+-mesons (Reggeons), which are exchanged between hadrons, are described by the 36-dimensional reducible representation of SU(3). The universal coupling properties and the extended nonet coupling ansatz are used to determine the coupling of the relevant interaction.
