A shell model calculation of stripping reduced widths of even parity and an analysis of a resonance found in the excitation function in the F^<19>(d,p)F^<20> reaction have been made under simplifying assumptions. A reasonable fit with experiment was obtained and it has been found that in the case of l_n=2, which is observed for low-lying levels in F^<20>, agreement with experiment is satisfactory both in relative and in absolute values of the stripping reduced width and the modified multiplet model seems to be fairly valid. In the case of l_n=0, corresponding to higher excited levels in F^<20>, the relative values were not well reproduced and a high degree of configuration mixing seems to be effective, since the sum rule gives a reasonable value of θ_<0^2>(2s). The reaction data are consistent with the assignment of 2^+ to the ground state of F^<20>, derived from beta-decay evidences, and also with the statement by Schwartz with respect to a doublet of levels resulting from coupling of an s_<1/2>-proton and the three-neutron configuration, (d_<5/2^3>)_<5/2>. Spin values are temporarily assigned to a few levels in F<20>.
