The possibility to determine the spin of the μ-meson is shown in the study of the anomalous π-μ decay. This possibility is due to the fact that the ratio R(=W_r / W_0) of the probability of the radiative process W_r(π→μ+μ_0+γ) to that of the ordinary one W_0(π→μ+μ_0) for a meson of spin 1 / 2 differs from that for the meson of spin 0. Especially, we are interested in the range of the μ-meson track shorter than 150μ. Because, for such a short μ-track, the contribution from the magnetic dipole of the μ-meson is more effective than the electric current contribution. The above mentioned R (range<150μ>is 1 / 4×10^<-4>for a muon of spin 1 / 2 and 1 / (13)×10^<-4>for a spin 0 muon. It is shown that the straggling effect does not disturb the determination of the spin. The ratio has been measured by Fry et al. Of the sampling of 10686 events in the photographic plate, it was found that the μ-track having the range shorter than 150μ is only one. It is desirable to increase the accuracy and the statistical weight of the observation in order that a more precise comparison between theory and experiment may be possible.
