Spin dependences of interactions appearing in the DWBA stripping amplitude are theoretically investigated by the invariant-amplitude method for polarizations of emitted protons from unpolarized targets, P(θ), and cross-section asymmetries from polarized targets, A(θ). In the case treated, the nuclear spins are 1/2 and zero for the target and residual nuclei, the neutron being captured into an S-state. The theory gives a definite value of P(θ)/A(θ) for each spin dependence without any numerical calculation. In particular, the conventional proton-spin-orbit assumption leads to P(θ)/A(θ)=-3, which is incompatible with the experimental data for the He^3(d, p)He^4 reactions. Possibilities of explaining the data are discussed.
