One Pion Production by Neutrino Reaction in ρπ-Current Model

One pion production by the high energy neutrino-nucleon collision process is discussed. The cross section of ν+N→N+μ+π is estimated by the introduction of the ρ→π+l+ν process which is determined by the axial-vector current of neutron β decay. The coupling constant g_<ρπl> of ρ→π+l+ν is estimated from the contribution of this process to the axialvector current of nucleon β decay as follows : g_<ρπl>=3.0(Δλ/f_<ρN>)G_A, where Δλ is fraction of ρπ-current contribution to the axial-vector current of nucleon β decay. If Δλ=0.25, then the cross section of our process is smaller than that of the experimental value by about an order, but if Δλ=0.78, the cross section is comparable to the experimental value ~10^<-38> cm^2 which explains the discrepancies between the previous theoretical value of Fukawa and the experimental one.
