In the SU(3)-symmetric theory of strong interaction, G-parity is generalized referring to the other subgroups U(2) of the U(3), called U and V-spins, different from the isotopic spin subgroup. The introduced G_U and G_v-parities are applied to lead to the selection rules for the pΣ^^-^+ and the nΣ^^-^- annihilation processes.
