The experimental intensity curves for the two-branch peaks of excitation spectrum for liquid He^4 obtained by Cowley and Woods are explained from the two-branch spectrum and the experimental form factor in a manner consistent with sum rules, by assuming that the sum rules are exhausted by "real" one- and two-phonon excitations.
