In connection with the mixed valence state in rare earth compounds, the periodic Anderson Hamiltonian with infinitely large correlation between the lacalized electrons is treated in the framework of Hubbard's alloy analogy. For the case where the total electron number is unity per lattice site, the calculated densities of states show that the Fermi level is always located within the lower band of the split bands. The paramagnetic state is energetically stabler than the ferromagnetic state for small hybridization parameter. The temperature dependences of the occupation number of the localized levels and the magnetic susceptibility, etc. are obtained.
