Ionization of Atomic Hydrogen by Electron Impact in the Eikonal Approximation with Exchange

The exchange scattering amplitude for the ionization of atomic hydrogen by electron impact in the eikonal approximation is reduced to a three-dimensional integral expression suitable for numerical calculations. By making use of this scattering amplitude, we have calculated the exchange-corrected differential and integrated cross sections. The present results of the intergrated cross section turns out to be in excellent agreement with experimental results in the intermediate as well as high energy region.
