Decay Angular Distribution of a Vector-Meson Produced by Polarized Leptons in the Quark Model

Assuming that a vector-meson leptoproduction proceeds through one-photon exchange, we investigate the decay angular distribution of the vector-meson produced by polarized leptons in the framework of the quark model. A number of constraints are derived among the spin density matrix elements of the vector-meson. We show that all the spin density matrix elements of the vector-meson produced by polarized leptons are related to those measurable in the corresponding real photoproduction and R=σ_L/σ_T, the ratio of the cross-sections of the vector-meson produced by longitudinally and transversely polarized photons. Out of 26 observable spin density matrix elements only five are independent in the quark model.
