• A new ultrasonic imaging system of "real-time 3-D echograph" for the medical application is described in this paper. Characteristics of transformation of an acoustic distribution into luminance distribution is theoretically analyzed. Both the theoretical and experimental results show that the luminance is directly proportional to the amplitude of vibration in the transformation of an acoustic distribution into a luminance distribution.
