Longitudinal dielectric function, K(k, ω)=k・ε(k, ω)・k/k^2 is investigated quantitatively for a magnetoplasma with a Maxwellian velocity distribution. Here ε is the dielectric permeability tensor defined as a function of wave vector k and frequency ω. Some characteristic features of K are shown and asymptotic forms are given for several limiting cases.
