数式処理プログラムMaple V によるプログラム演習

Recently, there are many students who are not familiar with mathematics. We have had programming exercise using Maple V which can manipulate mathematical expression hopping they can solve problems in mathematical exercise and like mathematics. We prepared textbook of about 100 pages. Students do following : input program sentence which are showed in it and get same answer in textbook then modify the coefficients or parameters and investigate how the solution changes and after that solve similar problem. Using function help they solved them when they could not understand what to do. They also compared the analytical solution with numerical solution and understood difference between programming with C and Maple V. All students have been deeply impressed in exercise and surprised how problem of linear algebra and mathematical analysis can be solved instantly.
