An adolescent patient with identity diffusion cannot verbalize her own problems of inner fear and psychological conflict between her parents and herself and so on. So in the course of therapy to this kind of patient, we can take a number of non-verbal communication methods including Art therapy. In this paper, using some. pictures especially those of sqiggle, we examined the inter-relationship between mental condition of the patient and her picture. As a result, we summarize as follows: 1, The patient was remarkably tense and often reluctant to go to hospital. In the course of my therapy, however, she acquired gradually, on the one hand, she clearly showed her pathological condition such as eye-contact fear or oralphase dependent need. 2, In drawing a picture, she often showed an excessive attention for symmetry and tendency diminishing its size, when she felt she exposed to internal menace. 3, When she showed in her picture separation anxiety and derealization from her affectional object, her drawing became elaborate and accurate, which suggests her effort to counterbalance.Namely, It represented that she wanted inner stability and integration. 4, When she got aware of and faced to her separation anxiety and derealization, and when she could verbalize them, she at last, succeeded in her picturization. 5, After she went through transference and identification of herself to her therapist, she came to need idealization of herself and got down to the situation of identity crisis. And at last she came to be able to accept the reality as it is.
