The surface diffusion model on electrodeposition of metals is useful to interpret the difference of polarization behaviour of Cd electrode according to the kind of electrolytes such as Cd-chlonde, -sulfate or -nitrate. The galvanostatic method is favourable in those mesurement to acquire the reaction parameters of the surface diffusion model However, in the galvanostatic method, it is inevitable to be affected by the electric double layer parallel to the electrode interface So far, this difficulty has been avoided by setting such a condition as the charging current of the double layer is negligible In this paper, a new calculation formula was derived from a system of differential equations including the polarization potential and the charging current, and its applicability was examined
