• The displacement response of a pipeline on the seabed due to horizontal cyclic loading conditions is numerically investigated by using the numerical simulation model based on centrifuge modelling tests. In the numerical simulation model, the horizontal stiffness of the seabed under the pipeline during cyclic loading is taken into consideration. It is very important in the numerical simulation model to evaluate the horizontal stiffness degradation of the seabed during horizontal cyclic loading. The displacement response of the pipeline under horizontal cyclic loading conditions is simulated well by using the proposed numerical model.
