• English for Science and Technology(EST) is one approach which is directed by learners' needs and purposes. To keep up with developments of science and technology, the purpose of studying English should be to have workable knowledge of English in that field. This paper argues the validity of the EST vocabulary list which the author experimentally produced to introduce learner-centered EST approach here at Nagaoka National College of Technology.
