A new data analysis of ADCP observation was developed in 1990 by Kaneko. ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Plofiler) is mounted on a subsurface fish and towed by sip. The ADCP system has succeded in observing detailed sectional structure of the East sea of Okinawa. The accuracy of velocity observation reached ±2cm/s when the subsurface fish is designed stably and the ADCP compass is calibrated in a round trip survey on the same observation line.
