The purpose of this paper is to discuss the extent to which the changes of the family structure, life events, and socio-economic environment had an influence on the family budget structure, and to try to clarify of how the life value of household manager whose occupation was home economics researcher was realised into her family budget structure. Data for the analysis was collected from the housekeeping book of the home-economist selected as a research subject, in which the family expenses for her home management post World War II had been recorded exactly from 1945 to 1954, and a part of data was cited from her academic articles she wrote depending on this housekeeping book. Findings derived from the analysis of family budget structure are as follows. 1) Value of education of the child was the most important in her family life, which was reflected in her family budget structure. 2) Price explosion and food shortage post World War II in Japan had an influence on the subject's family budget structure. 3) The subject's family budget structure was reflecting her value orientations with which to try to realize the women's capacities as possible.
