In textbooks on thermodynamics for the undergraduate course, are often found inadequate descriptions. They are vague, too abstract or even wrong. This paper summarizes the author's views of thermodynamics referring to the points of teaching worth bearing in mind to avoid possible confusion and misunderstanding. As examples, two recent articles are given to criticize (1) their misuse of the differential form of thermodynamical functions in the Joule-Thomson process, and (2) their inadequate explanations of "constant" pressure which is used with the heat of reaction.
