A hundred and fourteen species of moths (chiefly Microledoptera) belonging to 18 families collected at Sugadira plateau in centrai Japan, were added to the list of mothfauna of this region. Moreover, short comments were given for 6 species of moths which had formely been reported to be distributed in Sugadaira by some other authors. Consequently, the total number of moth species found in thie region reaches to 892 and 203 to Microlepidoptera. The number of the Macrolepidoptera in Sugadaira corresponds to about 27% of those in Japan, whereas that of Microlepidoptera to only about 10% of those in Japan. It can possibly be expected that more large number of Microlepidtera will be recorded from Sugadaira in the future.菅平高原およびその周辺の蛾類は、小林・宮田(1986)により33科720種が記録された。私は蛾類の生態学的研究の目的で、1970年と1971年に、東京教育大学理学部付属菅平高原生物実験所(現在の筑波大学菅平高原実験センター)で夜間採集を試みた。その結果、52種の追加記録を行なった(小林、1972)。・・・
