Mizue Sasaki's (1995) report on her practice includes her interviews with students at the beginning of the class, analysis of the students' needs, and the results of tests. There is, however, some unnecessary information concerning the students' private matters, which Tsuruta (1998) pointed out. Sasaki (1998) comments that those pieces of information are the minimum requirements for her practice. Tsuruta, on the other hand, does not think some of Sasaki's (1995) information on individual students included in her report is necessary, since it does not in any way affect her analysis of the students' needs. Tsuruta wants to ask Sasaki why she considers it minimally required information.
