Comte's integrations of sciences are discussed in the light of systems theory. The societies of France were disordered extremely after the French Revolution. Comte studied the development of the human mind to remedy this disordered societies, and found the law of the three stages. The human mind has the functions to integrate the discrete events in societies. Accordingly the law of the tree stages describes the progression of the mind through three systems (models) of integrating the events : the first, "theological, " in terms of the will of gods; the second, "metaphysical", in terms of the abstractions of analytical sciences; the third, "positive", in terms of the practical truth of systems theories. Comte's criticism to the metaphysical stage is the criticism of the systems theories to the analytical sciences. Comte's law of the classification of the sciences arranges the sciences in a hierarchy according to their degree of integration. With mathematics at the base, with sociology at the pinnacle, this hierarchy set between them astronomy, physics, chemistry, and biology.
