• With regard to Kanoko Okamoto's way of making up and dressing up, people said that she used too much make-up and dressed up very badly. Because of her bad eyesight due to her eye disease, probably she could not notice that her face was too white due to too much powder. Kanoko thought that making up was very good for women because it could make them beautiful. It is important that she also thought that making up symbolized the loveliness of women. Ippei Okamoto, her husband, quite sympathized with Kanoko in her own way of making up and dressing up.
