The electroencephalogram (EEG) includes 4 kinds of waves, α, β, δ, andθwave. Recently, these waves have been used as parameters for evaluating human mental or physical condition by their amplitude, frequency, and fluctuation. Before, analog filters had mainly been used for separating and extracting these waves from EEG. But thanks to the progress of digital computer technology, we can now process filtering analog signal by digital filters. I made CAD of finite inpulse response (FIR) digital filter design for EEG processing which is very useful for designing various types of digital filters automatically and easily on X-WINDOW. In this paper, I will describe the features and functions of this CAD and show the results of EEG processing using this CAD.
