It is well known that the behaviour of a feedback magnetic amplifier depends mainly upon the transfer curve of a simple series magnetic amplifier and the characteristic curve of a feedback current. Both characteristics vary remarkably wish various circuit conditions. On a simple series magnetic amplifier, the influence of circuit conditions are already investigated by H. F. Strom and A. G. Milnes; but on a feedback current we have only a few reports. Author studied the characteristic of a feedback current with various circuit impedance and obtained following results experimentally. The feedback current varies in various ways with control circuit impedance and load conditions. When the control circuit impedance is low, the feedback current is proportional to a. c. input current with a. c. resistive load, but when the feedback circuit includes d. c. inductive load it becomes nonlinear and produces trigger phenomena. While the control circuit impedance is very high, different resultants are abtained. The characteristic of feedback current is linear with d. c inductive load but becomes nonlinear with a. c resistive load.
