• The present paper deals with the graphical representation of symmetric and asymmetric tensors of second-order such as stress and strain with the aid of prismatical element and Mohr's circles. This paper attempts to show a unified and systematic treatment of the subject. All of the directions and magnitudes of the normal and shear stresses on an arbitrary inclined plane can be obtained by the results of this study.
