Approximate solutions of electrostatic problems of concentric planar electrodes and Saturn type electrodes are derived by Ataka's method which is able to solve axially symmetric problems by rotating two-dimentional relations between potential and field intensity around one axis in the plane. The obtained formulae giving the capacity are simpler and more easily computable, though approximate, compared with Snow's exact solution.
